Attendance & Tardy Policy
Absences
- Parent/guardian must report an absence by 8:30 AM.
- Notes must be submitted within 48 hours for an absence to be excused.
- After 10 absences in a semester, the school may require a meeting and a plan.
Tardies
- 5 unexcused tardies in a quarter → advisor conference.
- 10 unexcused tardies in a quarter → family meeting + improvement plan.
- North Campus bell: 8:10 • South Campus bell: 8:20
Participation Rule
Students must be present for 70% of the day to participate in athletics or performances that afternoon.
Academic Integrity (Full Version)
Core principle: Your work must honestly represent your thinking and your effort.
- Plagiarism includes copying text, code, or ideas without attribution.
- Unauthorized collaboration occurs when students work together beyond a teacher’s instruction.
- AI tools may be used for brainstorming, outlining, or debugging only when allowed by the teacher.
- When AI assistance is used, students must include an AI-use note describing the tool, prompts, and what was changed.
Consequences range from redo with grade cap, to zero on the assignment, to disciplinary review for repeated violations.
Technology Acceptable Use (Summary)
Device Rules
- K–5: devices remain on campus.
- 6–9: school-issued Chromebook; personal laptops not required.
- 10–12: BYOD allowed; students must maintain antivirus and updates.
Communications
- Students may not message during class unless instructed.
- Recorded media in class requires teacher permission.
- Cyberbullying is treated as a serious discipline matter.
Network
- Guest Wi‑Fi is available for visitors; request access at reception.
- Prohibited: bypassing filters, sharing passwords, malware.
Enrollment, Deposits, and Refunds
Deposit
Enrollment deposits are applied to tuition and are non-refundable after May 1.
- K–8 deposit: $1,250
- 9–12 deposit: $1,500
Tuition Refund
- Before July 1: 90% tuition refunded
- July 1–August 15: 50% tuition refunded
- After August 15: no refund
Returned Payments
A $35 fee applies to returned checks or failed ACH transactions.
